Real Butter Tulband Cake

Ingredients

  • 300 grams Echte Boter + extra to grease the bundt mould
  • 300 grams white caster sugar
  • 300 grams general purpose flour
  • 5 grams salt
  • 2 tsp lemon zest
  • 6 medium eggs
  • Bundt mould

Method

  1. Preheat the oven to 140 degrees.
  2. Make sure the Echte Boter and eggs are at room temperature.
  3. Mix the Echte Boter, salt and lemon zest whilst warming it gently, for example au bain marie, until the butter is creamy. Pay attention not to melt the butter.
  4. Mix in the caster sugar.
  5. Beat it lightly with a mixer.
  6. Mix in the egg - in stages - with a mixer.
  7. When all the egg is mixed in, fold in the flour.
  8. Pour the batter into a well-greased bundt mould.
  9. Bake the tulband cake in the pre-heated oven at 140 degrees for at least 60 minutes.
  10. When you touch the baked tulband and it springs back it is ready to come out of the oven..
  11. Immediately remove the cake from the mould by inverting the tulband onto a plate.
  12. Cut a generous slice and spread with Echte Boter… delicious!
