Spring mashed stamppotje

Ingredients

  • 1.5 kilos potatoes
  • 2 bunches of spring onions
  • 200 grams (frozen) peas
  • 50 grams Echte Boter
  • 100 ml cream or milk
  • Salt and pepper

Method

Method:

  1. Peel the potatoes
  2. Chop the potatoes into smaller, evenly sized chunks
  3. Boil in water till soft (approx 20 mins),
  4. Check by inserting a knife to see if soft enough and ready
  5. In a second pan boil water for the peas
  6. Once the water boils add the peas and simmer till ready (approx 8 mins)
  7. Whilst the vegetables are boiling chop the spring onions in 0.5 cm pieces
  8. Drain the potatoes
  9. Mash the potatoes
  10. Add the cream and Echte Boter to the mash
  11. Add salt and pepper to taste
  12. Add the spring onions
  13. Add the peas
  14. Mix the ingredients well
  15. Serve!
